Italy coach gives update on availability of two Inter Milan players for Nations League clash against Israel:

Italy coach Luciano Spalletti said Alessandro Bastoni would play against Israel tomorrow, while Davide Frattesi will need to be assessed.

The Azzurri coach gave an update on the availability of the Inter Milan duo for the Nations League clash at a press conference, as reported by FCInterNews.

Italy play their second Nations League match after the international break tomorrow.

The Azzurri have started their campaign strongly, securing a convincing 3-1 win over France on Friday.

Tomorrow, Italy will face Israel, an opponent on paper that is easier than the Blues.

But naturally, the Azzurri will take nothing for granted.

Italy coach Spalletti will certainly be aiming to field a strong starting XI to ensure his side end the break with six points from their two games.

Italian coach Spalletti: “Bastoni will play against Israel, Frattesi must be evaluated”

Spalletti’s Italy squad has a solid core of Inter players.

Midfielder Nicolo Barella is out after undergoing nose surgery during the break, while veterans Matteo Darmian and Francesco Acerbi have been left out. Spalletti chose to focus on youth.

There were still three Inter players in the Azzurri’s starting XI against France, however.

Defender Alessandro Bastono, winger Federico Dimarco and midfielder Davide Frattesi all played a key role in their national team’s victory.

As for tomorrow’s match, Spaletti left no doubt. “Bastoni will play tomorrow,” he said.

“Because eliminating both him and Riccardo Calafiori would be tricky.”

Arsenal defender Calafiori will miss the match after picking up an injury against France.

Spalletti said Bastoni “is the defender with the most experience.”

The Italian coach then commented: “Frattesi must be assessed in today’s training session.”

“But he says he feels good, in good shape.”
