During the summer transfer window, Paris Saint-Germain linked with former Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt as a potential player to strengthen their defense. However, the player has been reunited with his former Ajax coach, Erik ten Hag.

Last month, Manchester United have completed the signing of de Ligt The Dutch defender has signed a five-year contract with a one-year extension option from Bayern Munich for €45 million, plus €5 million in add-ons.

During this international break, de Ligt explained why he came to Old Trafford and stressed that it was not just because of Ten Hag. The Dutchman said it is difficult to say no when Manchester United call him.
