Ten players received their 2025 Korn Ferry Tour cards Sunday after the PGA Tour of Americas season finale.
Leading the way was Johnny Keefer, who joined the pros at Baylor earlier this summer. Keefer went on to finish in the top five eight times, including one win and four runner-up finishes, earning him full-exemption status for the KFT next season.
The other nine players to earn exemption status are, in order: Frederick Kjettrup, Matthew Anderson, Barend Botha, Clay Feagler, Will Cannon, Harry Hillier, Sandy Scott, Ryan Burnett and Ian Holt. Anderson and Hillier had already earned conditional KFT status as the top two players on the Latin American Tour earlier this season. All 10 players will also be exempt from the final stage of the PGA Tour Q-School, where they will be able to compete for PGA Tour cards.
Cannon, Scott and Holt finished in the top 10 in points at the Fortinet Cup championship in Caledon, Ont.
Cannon beat Scott by one stroke for the title after finishing with a 1-under-par 69. It was the first PGA Tour-sanctioned victory for the 30-year-old UAB product. Cannon played two seasons on the KFT, in 2019 and 2020-21 before losing his card. According to Monday’s news, QCannon left professional golf a few years ago to take a job in a warehouse because he was out of money. A sponsor then backed him this year to give his golf career another chance. Additionally, former professional golfer Willy Wilcox revealed that Cannon’s father, John, is terminally ill with cancer.
