RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško was was reportedly a target of Paris Saint-Germain during the last summer transfer window as they looked for a new goal-scoring option following the departure of Kylian Mbappe.
The Slovenian striker, who is contracted to Leipzig until 2029, had an exceptional 2023-24 season, scoring 18 goals and providing two assists in 42 games for the German side.
Among the contenders for the 21-year-old are Arsenal and while the forward ended up staying at Leipzig, that doesn’t mean the Gunners don’t have plans to return next year for the player to strengthen their number 9 position.
CaughtOffside was reported on Sundayciting sources, that Arsenal are still very interested in Šeško and hope to bring him to the Emirates Stadium. They have already started making contacts ahead of next summer to get a head start on their rivals.
At PSG, the 2024-25 season could be decisive for Randal Kolo Muani, and next summer, the Ligue 1 team could look to improve the striker position to find a consistent goal.
It will be interesting to see if Kolo Muani can have a good season. If not, sporting advisor Luis Campos could draw up targets for the number 9 position.
