Glasgow City beat Queen’s Park 8-0 to move level on points with SWPL leaders Rangers and Hearts.
With Rangers and Celtic having been in the Women’s Champions League over the previous five days, neither played league games at the weekend and City took advantage.
Natalia Wrobel converted a Sofia Maatta pass to give Glasgow the lead.
Queen’s Park fell further behind in first-half added time when Lisa Forrest scored.
After the break, City were awarded a penalty, converted by Nicole Kozlova. Maatta then scored two goals in quick succession.
Aleigh Gambone added her name to the list of goalscorers before Kozlova scored two more to complete her hat-trick.
Partick Thistle won comfortably 4-0 away to Motherwell while Aberdeen and Dundee United took a point each from their 1-1 draw in the north-east.
The Spartans claimed their first win of the season by beating Montrose 3-0. Goals from Keira Chuter, Robyn McCafferty and Erin Rennie gave Jack Beesley’s side the points.
Hearts beat hosts Hibernian 4-0 in Friday’s Edinburgh derby to move level on points with Rangers, albeit with an inferior goal difference. City are third, two points ahead of Celtic, who, like Rangers, have a game in hand.
Tiree Burchill’s low strike gave Thistle the lead at Fir Park and Hannah Robinson’s long-range lob doubled Partick’s advantage in the 40th minute.
Goalkeeper Emily Mutch’s own goal from Cara Henderson’s shot extended the visitors’ lead and Emma Lawton added a fourth late on.
Dundee United got the better of Aberdeen but had to settle for a point.
Katie Frew sent a shot against the crossbar and Megan Burns headed the ball over before team-mate Ella Cowie’s fine strike gave the Tangerines the lead.
However, Aberdeen were level at half-time through Niamh Noble.
Megan Sidey’s excellent save prevented Freya Brien from scoring for the visitors, who also threatened through Ashley Robertson.
