The toughest 18 holes on the PGA Tour in 2024 were par 4s. Not really surprising.
The 19th was a par 3, and then you had to play the entire distance to number 90 before arriving at the first par 5 on the official list.
The toughest par 3 and the toughest par 5 were both made by Royal Troon, host city of The Open Championship 2024. The 220-yard fifth hole proved to be the toughest par 3 after producing an average score of 3.340. Royal Troon’s par 5, 623-yard sixth hole was played to an average score of 5.183 in the final major of the season.
In total, 738 holes were used in tournament play during the season, and now that the Tour Championship is in the books, the statistics for the 2024 season are official.
