The most difficult golf courses on the PGA Tour for the 2024 season

The 2024 PGA Tour season is over and statistics rank the most difficult courses played over the past eight months.

The first three on the list have hosted major tournaments. This probably won’t come as a surprise to most people, but then you have to scroll down to number 13 to see the fourth major venue.

Between these two venues were, statistically speaking, some of the most difficult golf courses on the calendar.

The two toughest courses were played more than two shots over par, while the top four were all played more than one shot over par. In total, 12 golf courses had an average score over par for the 2024 season, leaving 30 courses where Tour pros had an average score under par during the year.

1. Pinehurst No. 2 – US Open

Pinehurst No. 2 proved its worth by testing the world’s best players at the 2024 US Open.
